Earlier today, the day before election day, Beth Allen, who is running for Brevard Supervisor of Elections called. She and husband Bob weren't calling about politics, but just to say they had learned of the death in my family and were calling to lend their sympathies.
I've considered the Allens close friends for years now -- Bob's the one who came up with our tagline, "Save Family Boating" -- and want to pass along the only political message out of our long conversation:
